I rarely check this room but I was responding to another thread that had been moved here. To answer your question, what I basically do is (for example, I sometimes prefer the 1st tab to be "blank" with the next 3 tabs being uhh... sportsbooks):
Using that concept, I arrange in the Bookmarks Manager where I have the 3 bookmarked tabs as a group, and add the "about:blank" bookmark to the group.
Let me know if you want detailed instructions on this as I know I'm not clear but I'm guessing you simply want a blank tab to go along with ONE bookmark... that'd be little more of a hassle but if Firefox does allow you to make grouped tabs easily, though.

P.S. Now I think about it before my mind turns to clay, you can just do this: right-click on the tabs (including a new tab that should be empty) and "bookmark all tabs". Is that what you want?
